About the Hoperation Fund
The Hoperation Fund is a student-led charitable investment fund committed to raising capital, investing in the stock market, and directing its profits to often-overlooked nonprofits, especially those supporting human welfare, environmental protection, and education in underserved communities.
At the same time, we seek to bridge the gap between school and real life by helping students develop essential financial skills that are often overlooked in traditional education, including saving, budgeting, and investing, so they are better prepared to take charge of their financial future.

[August 2] On Sunday, August 2, we will hold our August Monthly Meeting. In addition to our regular updates on the Hoperation Fund’s portfolio management and performance, financial market analysis, and Market Top Signal, we will introduce new learning plans for the upcoming academic year. The meeting will conclude with the fifth lecture in our Quantitative Trading Lecture Series: “Large Language Models for Stock Price Forecasting from a Hedge Fund Perspective.”, given by the President.
[July 20] Hoperation Fund will host Lecture #4 of its Quantitative Trading Lecture Series on July 20 from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. Central Time. The event will also mark Hoperation Fund’s 118th meeting. Given by Olivia Zhang, this talk will further explore AI-based empirical asset pricing and examine how this methodology can be applied to Hoperation Fund’s current investment portfolio. [July 8] Hoperation Fund will host Lecture #3 of the Quantitative Trading Lecture Series, which will also be the 117th meeting of Hoperation Fund, on July 8 from 10:00–11:00 AM Central Time. This roundtable discussion, led by Olivia Zhang, will explore how AI can be used to predict stock returns through fundamental, technical, and alternative data. Participants are expected to have a basic understanding of AI models, fundamental analysis, technical analysis, and alternative market data.
